Personal Effectiveness
Our Personal Effectiveness section is designed to help enhance an individual’s overall ability to perform various tasks and activities in his or her educational and life endeavors. We help individuals learn the practical, straightforward skills and strategies needed to excel in the education realm.
In contrast to our Interpersonal Skill Builder Series which focuses on relationships and interactions with others, this series centers on skills that can be applied independent of other people. These personal effectiveness skills include personal goal setting, time management, problem solving, and emotional intelligence.
Skill and Competencies
We focus on specific skills and competencies that will improve a person’s ability to reach personal and education goals. The skills and competencies we aim to improve are those that will not only aid a person in his or her educational learning, but also in many aspect of their life. We provide information to assist individuals in building personal skills such as time management, organization, problem solving and decision making. The development of these skills allows individuals to become more capable, competent, and confident in themselves and their performance, and help them to be better able to reach the goals they set for themselves.
Strategies and Techniques
We also provide information and strategies to help individuals to make the most of his or her talents and abilities. Individuals can use these simple strategies and techniques to make the very most of his or her learning activities. These strategies include developing positive study habits, goals setting, emotional intelligence, and stress management. We integrate ideas on how to effectively and efficiently utilize these competences in a learning and educational environment.
